Has anyone stored their colostrum? if so was it worth it?? I was told you could and it keeps coming until your milk…

Deep freeze 6-12 months depending on how cold it is and where in the freezer it's stored. And 3 month in a fridge freezer. It has the most nutrients compared to just milk. You could mix it in with a bottle of your normal milk

I have 4 bags in the freezer. I'm 38 weeks and 3 days.

@goldenboobies, How did you manage to fill the bags up without ruining what was already in them? can I add it to the bag once it's in the freezer?? I've got almost an ounce right now and I don't wanna waste it lol

I pump two sessions a day. usually in one session I'll get about an ounce. so each bag has about 2 ounces. I won't mix colostrum into a bag that already has some. I pump into a bottle and then set the bottle in the fridge until the 2nd session and then before the day is over I'll pour the bottle into a bag.

a bottle is good for about 24 hours imo. but SOME doctors will say it's good for 7-8 days and then 6 -12 months in the freezer. so I just go by the 24 hour rule to be safe lol.

can you pump while pregnant

Not until you're 38-39 weeks and if your doctor okays it @hellokitty718 it can cause contractions

is why I'm asking....my last pregnancy I did the nipple simulation at 39 week and sure enough I gave birth.....

Only massage one breast at a time.Grasping the areola, rub in a circular motion until a contraction begins. It's important to mimic the suckling action of a baby.Stop after the contraction begins.Wait 15 minutes, then repeat.

Stop using nipple stimulation  if the contractions are 3 minutes apart or lasting 1 minute or longer.
