has anyone had this happen:
I started to have really intense contractions. they were so painful and right on top of each other. and then like a half hour later I couldn't feel the pain anymore BUT I was still having contractions. I could tell because my stomach was tightening just as strongly and as frequent as when I could feel them. and I'm still having contractions now at about 5 minute intervals but I can't feel any pain...just pressure from how strongly my stomach is tightening. why could I feel the pain sooooo badly earlier and then it suddenly stopped??

When they are so inconsistent like that they are called pre labor contractions. At least that's what my doctor calls them. He told me they can go from 10 min apart to 5 min apart and can vary in intensity, meaning some really hurt and others don't. He said you know it's real labor when the contractions are consistent in time and intensity. And Braxton hicks aren't supposed to hurt or last very long so I don't think that's what your experiencing. Sounds like prelabor contractions to me😊Your body could just be 'practicing' for the big day! I've been getting them since 34 weeks

Braxton Hicks maybe? I would call the advice nurse. For sure start keeping a log on time & length. They could be real.
