you don't want to heat it too hot because it kills off all the nutrients. just heat it enough to make it warm.

if you are heating it on the stove just allow the water to began to steam but not boil. then pull it off the stove and pour into a bowl. then sit the bottle in it. I always just ran under really warm tap water for about 30 seconds. this will protect the enzymes and nutrients in your milk.
