Honestly how bad does getting an epidural hurt? That's seriously one of the main things I'm worried…

it feels like a bee sting

none of mine were painful. just a quick sting, some pressure that's it. they usually do it in the middle of a contraction so you're hurting so bad from that you don't feel it much.

I just got one yesterday and it just felt weird. Didn't hurt at all. Labor would have been 100x worse without it

mine didn't hurt at all.. now though 2 years later I can still tell you the exact location it was placed. I've had lots of back pain since getting mine with my first baby

@ashley1215, believe it or not one of my postpartum nurses told me yellow sodas (mtn dew, mello yello, ski) and ibuprofen helps that . I don't know if it's true but it's what I do and I've never had any real issues

they give you a shot of local anesthetic first and that stings then it's just pressure and alot of weirdness. but the doctor explained everything to me as it was happening and let me know what I was going to feel right before it happened.
