Is it rude of me to say I only want my fiancée there when I give birth and not a whole bunch of people in the waiting room? My fiancée's Mom told him she was going to be there. And just like no. And my sister in law wants to come as well. And I'm just like can everyone please wait and tell the next day and call when they are coming. I don't want a room full of people. I feel bad for saying it but I would really like time with just the 3 of us. And not people wanting to hold her and there constantly. With my first I hardly allowed anyone tell my second day.

It's a common way to feel and that day is about you and baby, to have the easiest birth possible you need to feel respected and in control. As mean as it is I'd tell them so . Those that care about you will understand

that's how i feel my baby father isn't going to be in the picture so i really just want it to be me and baby for the first day/night... I may let my parents be there for the birth but other than that i want some alone time

When the time comes, if people try to come wait in the waiting room I'm going to tell them no! Plain and simple. And I doubt they will argue with the woman in labor lol

@mmora, I'm pretty sure at the hospital I'm delivering at they aren't allowed to if I say no. I believe they will make them leave. lol

That's awesome lol don't be afraid to do things your way. It's understandable that people are excited for your baby but this isn't some 'event' that's everyone needs to attend so that they can say they were there. Your the one putting all the work in so you should have it all your way😊

I love having my family there, knowing they are right outside if anything goes wrong.. And not all of them can be in the room at once so it's not like a full room.. My dad and mom and his dad and mom come to see there grandbaby.. My sisters and his brother.. I think it's great that they are excited to have a new member of the fa.ily and I'm glad they even care.. I knew a girl that got pregnant with her best friends baby, he's was out partying while she was giving birth, he's family didn't care, and her family disowned her for getting pregnant so young.. She had complications during birth and her and the baby almost died.. No one was there for her.. No one cared.. So I'd rather have family that cares enough to be there rather than being all alone.. Your lucky not burdened..
