Labor Story: Tuesday from about 2am to 5am. I was urinating like crazy. Then I started having cramps. I was so tired and worried about my inducement in the a.m. I didn't think my body was starting early labor. After 6am, I realized that they were becoming consistent. Started timing them at 6:37. They were an average of 8 to 10 min apart. I tried to sleep while they became closer and my water broke around 11. Felt like someone poured a gallon of water on me. I got up and it just kept leaking. I put on a large over night pad. On my way to the hospital, the pad must've filled and drenched the seat and my chair! Hospital was about 30min away. Once I got there, I was 3cm dilated and they kept me of course because my water broke. Around 4 I progressed to 4cm and got an Epidural around 5. It was like heaven. I felt no contractions. By 6, I was almost 7cm. things were moving slowly. Around 8, I was around 8cm but I started having back pains .Around 9, I started feeling contractions again. the epidural wasn't working for the pain anymore even though I got two bolus afterwards. From 8 to 11, I wasn't progressing. Contractions weren't strong enough so they gave me pitocin. Omgosh. the contractions came 1-2min apart and hurt like he'll. Finally got Iv meds at midnight, did nothing but make me drowsy. I couldn't be turned because the baby heart rate kept dropping on either side plus my legs were numb from the epidural. I started to go in and out from the IV med and around 3:30ish. they woke me up saying I'm fully dilated and ready to push. I was so out of it but could feel My contraction pains. They had to prop my legs up because they were numb. When it came time to push, It was like I wasn't all the way there and didn't feel the pain of pushing just a lot of pressure. Less then 15min of pushing, I delivered an 8pound baby at 4 a.m.
