Question breastfeeding momma. My Son is 6weeks and he's not seeming full very long, I know it can just be a growth spurt…

My baby does that sometimes and I figured out that it's usually when she wants to burp or she is tired, so she wants to sleep but wants to eat at the same time so she just gets frustrated

it could be your let down. my baby does the same in the beginning of the feeding cause my let down is so fast

Once I burp her she nurses normally again. And if it's because she is tired I just make her stop eating and walk around with her and she falls asleep. It could of course be something else with your baby. And remember his stomach is small so he could just be full at that time so let him stop and get him back on later once he isn't as full.

@january10th, yeah it could be that too. Like sometimes because of the way I'm sitting my letdown won't be fast enough and sometimes it's too fast so I adjust myself so it's a good comfortable flow. Listen to how he swallows to see if that's the problem

I was having the same problem so I went and got a pump and I'm bottle feeding my breast milk. He's eating more now then when I was trying to put him on the boob.

I have a fast let down to but it's after that that he gets frustrated. And it could be he needs to burp never thought of that. Bc I burp In between boobs (I guess that's what I'm suppose to do he's just started taking both sides at one feeding) and when he latches to the new side he's fine and the after a few min starts doing it again. But not even 5 min after he's done eating he starts rooting around again and sometimes the pacifier isn't what he wants @alhynele @january10th

When my milk first came in I could feed him and pump 10+ ounces a couple days ago I tried pumping and I couldn't even get 2oz out of both sides. But I know when he sucks he gets more than that @jennlc

maybe he just needs to burp honestly I never thought of that either lol I just thought it was my fast let down but thanks @alhynele definitely gonna start burping him when he does that. & try readjusting when my let down is to fast

Yeah it's probably the burping. I used to burp in between boobs but sometimes they just need to burp before that. It's usually a really huge burp too lol and u can see the relief in her face. I hope u figure it out

I normally do it over my shoulder but since this morning I've been sitting him up in my lap bc he burps so much better @alhynele

Oh yeah ! It works better for us too! Isn't it funny how hearing a loud burp makes you happy lol. Never thought I would get excited about hearing a burp before
