They say not to give them one because it's better for them to want to suckle on your booby then a pacifier.. The more you feed your baby the more you will produce.. I dried up because I gave my baby a pacifier instead of feeding him when he was actually hungry but the pacifier just masked his hunger and kept him busy sucking on that instead.. 😕 they say too that it can cause confusion but I never had any issues with nipple confusion.

my son only bottle fed and he hated pacifiers witch sucked cause they have super cute ones and he just did like them im going to breastfeed this baby and i hope he likes them unlike my first so i think its just all in the baby

My son refused pacifier and bottle. So I had to breastfeed him almost 2years. For some it can the oppisite way.

I use pacifier and breastfeed. if she's fussing I will try to feed her before I try the paci. but my baby does good with pacifier bottle and boobie. but you have to be careful my friends baby was in the NICU for over a week and the nurses were giving him a paci even though she told them not too and he got nipple confusion and wouldn't latch. I just say breastfeed first and see how easily they catch on
