Depo makes you gain weight

Yea I was on it right before I got pregnant I had gained 20 lbs in a year it sucks:( but then stopped to lose weight then got pregnant!!

i was on it before i got pregnant, i gained 50pds in 3 months!! they blamed the 'holidays' but i was so pissed, and i continued to gain weight /: it stays in your system so long even after you're off too, i was finally losing weight and found out i was pregnant xD time to post pone losing weight!

YES! depo made me blow up I had it for 3 years that's why I decided to get paraguard after my second & now after kaine

omg. im so fricken mad. i did not know this when i said that this birth comtrol would be okay. im so mad.... its been 3 months almost since i got it and i am not getting it ahain.... will i start losing weight after its been out of me for a while? cause i am active and i dont eat bad. this sucks. @yesenia5

I started loosing weight immediately after I stopped taking it that's why I looked into a birth control without hormones.

I gained lots of weight with the depo shot.

I started losing the weight almost a year after taking it. it took forever! i guess i had a slow metabolism,or it ruined it. :P but it all depends on your body!

I'm just barely seeing this, but paragaurd goes in your uterus & its pretty much the only birth control without hormones.
