I had my brothers puppy at my house for a while he was really curious about the baby he loved him tho he loved to lick his little feet & when he cried he'd come tell me where ever I was

Well I haven't had my son yet but my friend just had hers and omg their dog and her son are bestfriends when thag baby cries the dog is on it licking the babies face and baby stop crying right away and same with if baby is in the swing and starts crying dogs right there at the swing even tried to cover baby up with the blanket the most baffling moment for me to see

Yea my brothers puppy is a French bulldog with tons of energy he adapted better than I thought he would he was 7 months old when my baby was born & came he he did pretty well we just had to teach him to be calm around the baby cause he would get really really excited when he would see him but after a few times of us telling him to stay calm he was better

I have a terrier schnauzer and he's gets do excited when we have company over so I could only imagine how he'll be with the baby lol.. I hope he gets use to him quick.. Did you wash Amy of the dogs toys in any baby detergent?! Someone said it would be a good idea to get him use to the smell of the baby stuff but I'm not 100% sure about that @january10th

No I never washed any of his toys in baby detergent cause I didn't use baby detergent I just used regular soap. But I always let him sleep with me & would point to my belly & tell him that there was a baby in there & I guess he understood lol idk I guess it helped that we didn't yell at him or freak out every time he got close to the baby just act normal. trust me my brothers puppy has tons of energy!! like he's nuts lol but he did good once baby came home

I have a 5 pounds dog he's so small, and can't wait to see how he's going to react and see our baby, im just sad that not gonna have time to cuddle with my dog too hahah

My dog is five months and she is very curious about my sisters three week old. She will lick her when she cries and worries when she does. She's really spoiled so I think you should be fine. Just give your puppy some loving to lol

My dog loves my son, he will come up and lick his feet and try licking his face. Then if I sit down with him my dog will sit by my feet and act like he's protecting us haha :)
