I thought the umbilical cord was suppose to fall off within the first 2 weeks of birth. My daughter was 2 weeks yesterday and still has her. Was I told wrong?

I think every baby is a little different. as long as it's kept clean and stuff it should be fine :) I think my daughter's might have been closer to 3 weeks

Oh, okay. I just heard 2 weeks. My other one lost her's within 2 weeks so I believed the "within 2 weeks" thing. Haha @mommablueberry

My doctor told me it was okay to take those alcohol wipes & rub it around the umbilical cord to help dry it out so it will fall off. My son lost his the day he turned 2 weeks old.
