Girl I've been there 😓😓 it was the worst pain ever. I did same to me couldn't sleep for long and then made me crazy actually then I get up and cry if pain. I had just a bad viral infection. Gargle salt and warm water like all day seriously. That's only thing that helped me. I screwed myself over by taking some lozenges w/lemon flavor which only ended up irritating my throat even more and lasted 6days 😩😩😩

Oh gosh @dovejazz I had this same thing about a week ago and it went away and came back with a vengeance! My throat was so swollen it was almost to the point I couldn't breathe. Since I've been told all my life that ice packs bring down swelling, I put one on my throat and so far its worked. Its just the nasty stuff that's causing the infection is so damn thick I can't get it to come out if I blow my nose or even if I cough. It's irritating my ears too 😩😢😭😩😢😭 I will definitely try gargling warm salt water though to see if that helps more.

@jamie_renea03, oh poor thing I feel for ya girl ...yea it did same to me it irritated my ears as well. The whole thing from so much pain turned neurological on me I was going crazy. Yes for swelling ice for sure and that suits the throat too. But for infection ya salt water gargle thruout the day.
