will it make me less of a mother if i dont breastfeed? I would love to breastfeed but i may not be able to. Long story short my esophagus isnt working properly so food gets stuck in it an only a little gets to my stomach. I am 105lbs and 23 weeks pregnant i cannot gain weight because of this condition. I know that in order to breastfeed u have to get enough calories. I can barely get in 700-800 calories a day this really saddens me. Will me and my son sill be able to have a close bond even if i dont breastfeed?

Nope won't make you any less of a mother. Some moms can't breastfeed and others simply choose not to. Your baby is your baby and will love you just the same!

Are you able to drink? you could have protein shakes or something if that's what you want to do

@spud, no. even liquids i have a hard time with. only surgery can fix my condition

my oldest was not breastfed & he is the biggest mommas boy out of him & my 3 year old. you guys will have a great bond
