I said thank you three times to my SIL for buying our travel system for us. three times. once on the phone. once in email. once on facebook. I couldn't thank her in person because she lives in San Francisco lol. then she complains today to my husband about how we never said thanks. and when I did thank her, it wasn't just a "thank you" it was a "I appreciate everything you do to help us out and thanks very much for the car seat and stroller combo".... I even threw in that I'd paid her back. what the hell else does she want? a trophy??? this is why I NEVER ask people for shit. ever. when I help someone out I never expect a thank you nor do I get upset if I don't get a thank you. I have self satisfaction in knowing I've helped them out. especially if they're family. it sounds to me like all she really cares about is the "thanks for spending money on us" rather than just helping out her new nephew. did I mention she's getting a $15k bonus from work next month? and our travel system was $250 lol. yeah...thanks for spending so much money to help out your family XD
