I've heard they can mess up an epidural easier than a spinal tap because with a spinal you get one shot in the spin & you're done. with an epidural you have a small tube in your spin constantly giving you medication.
I had a spinal block. Numbed me from the chest down and had no problems with expect while it was wearing off, my face and chest would itch. It eventually went away the same day.

I had a spinal tap, the next day when I tried walking I felt like a baby giraffe walking for the first time lol
