When they see if your dilated how do they do it?  how can they tell?

My checks didn't hurt until I was 3cm dilated and then they hurt like hell but I think it was due to contractions

my cervixs is very high and still didn't hurt like people say it does hurt. maybe we just have a different tolerance for pain then some women @californiahaley

I agree with @brandi_22 my checks didn't hurt but I was already dilated misty effaced and my cervix was low when she first did it. So maybe that's why?

it's not that bad lol it's just like woohhhh that's awkward I'm more terrified of getting blood taken then getting checked

Yea they stock their fingers up there and can tell that way. it is very uncomfortable if your cervix is still high up.
