The midwife wants to go have the flu injection but i have seen a lot of people who have been ill after it . not sure if i should have it .
It's not a live vaccine so can't actually give you flu, cold symptoms are just coincidental. Pregnant women don't have good outcomes if they contract flu because the immune system is suppressed in pregnancy. Defo worth having! x
I had mine at 12 weeks too, and I was so glad I did when everyone else in this house came down with it before Xmas and I was the only one okay. I never actually believed it would work
I had mine at 12 weeks, I was absolutely fine. my letter also said it the injection doesn't give you the live flu bacteria anymore x
I didn't get one and I usually get it every year but decided not to this year..me and baby are fine :)
I had it done and felt fine. I've never had the flu jab before but only did it for baby's sake. made my arm hurt for a week tho lol x
I had it and I was fine, didn't stop me getting a cold sadly but does stop you getting the flu and helps protect you baby once it's born till it has its own injections but it's totally up to you....I looked at it as I would rather be ill now than have to try and come with a new baby that's full of a cold x
I am 26 weeks pregnant and still haven't had a flu jab, my midwife keeps telling me I need to have one but everyone has got really ill from it and I have been all of christmas without catching anyone's flu I just don't want to risk feeling awful when I'm having an amazing stress free pregnancy atm lol
