To all the new mommies or soon to be... PP depression is serious. I just saw a story.. Lady had twins && they wouldn't stop crying so she slit both of their throats! I know many parents are looking down on her but that's what PP depression is. You have bad thoughts like that.. If you're having thoughts like that please take it seriously && see your Dr immediately!!!

That's so sad. Baby blues are normal but if its lasting more than a week or two get help. I knew a lady with PP depression once. I helped to take care her babies while she got better. She had an almost 2 year old, a 6 month old and was pregnant. She had thoughts about smoothering the baby or putting him in the freezer. Her husband was on the road so not there to help often. She was able to get better and all her kids are grown and healthy now but its a very serious matter. You hear sad stories on the news everyday.

Pp depression is real and it is very serious and it's an illness. I wish they told you more about t and later appointments or pp appointments maybe if doctors told moms it is common and treatable they would seek help more often.

@junebaby yea girl.. && I understand its hard to tell your significant other how you feel because he may think you're crazy &&& try taking the baby with..so you need someone that's close but not too close to talk to that can help

I didn't get pp depression but I've been diagnosed with depression a few year ago I'm better now but it was awful, I can't imagine having those thoughts directed at my son.

I started on Zoloft two weeks ago because I was feeling a little depressed. And I was scared that I may have PP depression when the baby is here. I'm so glad my doctors talk about stuff like that. I feel so much better and just happier since starting my meds. And I know that I want be at risk of being too depressed to take care of my baby. I'm ashamed to say this but part of the reason I was feeling so depressed was because of all the pain I've experienced during this pregnancy like the hernia etc and all I would hear is "the baby is doing great" and I'm like hello what about me. I started thinking that once she is here no one would give a shit about me😒 anyway I don't feel like that anymore. I'm back to norms and can't wait to love my little girl

Мама дочки (2 года), беременна (28 нед.)
I had pp but I never once thought about harming my daughter. my thoughts were only harming myself because I always thought my daughter and husband would be better off without me because o felt like such a burden to them and my family. its a very serious thing and I tried so many times to end my life from hanging myself to getting my husband gun. I was in rough shape and was put on a lot of meds. This was also 2.5 plus years ago abd I am much better abd realized after counseling that my family needs me and they wouldn't be better off. I am the rock of my family as my mom says all the time.
