You will be able to get financial support when the baby is born so don't worry, research it online :)

you will get help money wise, it can be hard when you have everyone telling you all sorts it's hard to know what's right and what's wrong, you need to take some time for your self, it's your body your baby and your decision, take some time think it all over and do some research you will make the right decision :)

hopfully that link works and helps, if not just Google it your self and ask your apprentice manager but it does say you have the same rights as anyone that works am not 100% sure as never been on an apprentice

It doesn't make any difference if ur an apprentice, the law changed a few years ago so apprentices and temps get exactly the same benefits as permanent workers. Smp is paid by the government not ur employer so ur defo entitled to that. Some companies pay additional maternity pay and u may not be entitled to that but it'll be in ur contract if u are, it should depend on how long uv been with the company. Don't do something u don't want to do just coz of finances and what other people say to u, it's not them that has to live with the decision.

@saraharpum, I'm sort of in the same boat as you as this is my first time round doing it all. There are loads of online information, advice and guidance to help you with all of your questions 😊 if not go down to your local council and ask for advice that's what I did and some times they give you a form to fill in and you will get a letter in the post what you can get help with.. However you do need to prove your pregnant (pregnancy note is one type of evidence)
