Do you have to take out piercings for labor — C-section or vaginal?

yes they do. I had to take off all jewelry, including piercings.

They told me I prob will have to but I have a dermal so ima just ask em to cover it up with a bandaid heard u can do that to

I had to take out my nose ring and my lip ring..... I didn't get why the nose ring though

I had to take out my tongue with my baby boy and I had a vaginal birth. I put it back in immediately after.

I went not long ago to were I got it but because I'm pregnant they can't remove it I wish mine fell off lol but I'll prob remove it once I have the babies

I understand the tongue ring incase they have to trace you, but I don't understand the rest of them.

yea me nd my bf was doing it one day nd went to grab for my throat nd the bottom of his palm lifted it out, i only had it for 3 months at the time. never will I get a piercing there again, but yea they'll have to put something over it, maybe u can ask the hospital to remove it for you. @adriana415

You normally have to take everything out for a csection. But you can leave lobe piercings and rings on for vaginal. At least I did.
