lanolin is a life saver @goldenboobies I used it constantly at first. but now my nipples don't get dry or cracked anymore. it still hurts at first but after she nurses for a minute it stops
Don't use a nipple shield if you don't need one! They are for latch issues they can cause nipple confusion worse then bottles. Use lanolin after every feed. It gets better.

Try to get as much of your dark area into baby's mouth as well.. deeper suck=less pain.
