Being a type one diabetic has put me as being a high risk pregnancy. I am only 10 weeks and I have started developing cataracts. I know this journey will be long but I just want to say that all the pain I'm already experiencing is going to be worth it. My only fear is having an unhealthy child due to something I did wrong during pregnancy.

I was also high risk for a preexisting condition, though it wasn't diabetes. I had a lot of complications with my own body throughout the pregnancy (and honestly even now, 3 weeks pp, I won't lie). However, I was able to have a healthy, beautiful little girl. Keep your head up, sweetie, and do your best for you and baby! I'm sure things will work out fine. 💜💚

I'm high risk as well for type 2 diabetes but I have to take insulin and have for many years...it's not easy and is even harder while pregnant. I see my Dr more and have to send in my blood sugars every week. so far my little girl is health my a1c was 5.7 but I always worry what if I do something wrong but my drs are there when I need to talk and reassure me that I am doing everything I can for my baby...I write down everything for them lol and I can't be discouraged if I have a high reading once in a while because it will happen...my morning reading have been higher even with taking so much insulin and only having a piece of toast and an egg but I guess that is normal and we have finally found the right dose of insulin to help that. pregnancy hormones do funny things to our blood sugars especially later in pregnancy. but it's all worth it!
