wouldnt they stitch u up for that?? last appointment i had the ultrasound tech freaked out and thought my cervix was shortening and said if that was the case that they would have to stich me up @brittanybear00
it depends on how far along you are. my daughter came at 30 weeks, so with this pregnancy, they gave me cervix checks and said I'd need a cerclage (stitches) if I was showing any signs of my cervix shortening. I'm 27 weeks now and my OB said after 25 weeks, there's nothing they could do if my cervix started shortening, except put me on bedrest.
oh okayy thats probably why they said that when they my cervix was shortening. im only 22 weeks 23 tomorrow but good to know i didnt know they would put you on bed rest for that..would they put u on bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy? do u know?. @brittanybear00
My friend got a cerclage and was on bedrest for a week, so the stitches could heal. After that, it was just very light work she could do and had tons of restrictions, like no walking for long periods of time. I've known other people to be on strict bedrest after the cerclage. I guess it just depends on the Dr and how bad your situation is.
