Protein is so important to get in our pregnancies, especially as you are approaching the second trimester. Our bodies need about 70-100 mg a day. Meat is not cheap. Here are some other inexpensive ways to add protein throughout your day: beans, lentils, eggs, yogurt, natural cheese, peanut butter, nuts. I've even tried beef liver this pregnancy and me and my family love it chopped and added to a bean and lentil soup which is super cheap to make.
This is helpful..I was told I need lots of protein and calcium..I only eat chicken and seafood really but rarely any pork or beef so not much protein and I don't like milk or yogurt so I take calcium tums..but the protein bars I had were disgusting so I've been looking for some other things ..thank you
