im so emotional today. for only being up 2 hours i have cried twice. one bc my step mom will not shut up about wanting my daughter born this tuesday (her daughters bday, she passed away like 20 years ago) she keeps saying it can be in memory of my daughter n im sure she will look just like my daughter n blahblah. well she does this with every baby born in the family she even convinced my ex sister in law to name her daughter after my step moms daughter. dont get me wrong i respect the loss of her daughter but none of us in my family knew her not even my dad so its hard to feel the same way as her about it. if my daughter is born tuesday i want it to be her day n not hear about how its her daughter all over again n this n that. second time was bc it seems no one wants to respect my wishes on how i want visitors to work. im almost to the point of just having my bf n my mom no one else. everyone wants to stand outside the door n come in when she arrives but i want my bonding time n some recovery time before all that. urg i hope today turns around.

uhmmm i kinda think its wrong how your step mom is pushing that on you! your baby will come when ready not when your step mom feels like she should. also why not keep that day for her daughter? why replace her memories with another baby? i dont understand. & the whole visitor thing i dont blame you one bit! you need your time with your baby before everyone comes in and crowds you. im only allowing my bf in the room with me from the time i go into labor to the time i get into my other room

exactly if i was her id want to keep that day for my daughter n the memories. its seriously every 3 days i hear about it. and im having my bf n mom with me then everyone else can come when i feel ready. @mommybump3

when you go into labor at hospital you can tell your nurses no visitors until you say so.. that's what we have to do. if not we wouldnt get that bonding time.

You're allowed to speak up about things like that. "sorry ur daughter passed away but the day my daughter is born will be her day" type of Convo needs to happen lol I'm only having mom and my boyfriend in the delivery room too. i dont even kno if i want anyone coming in or seeing the baby til like an hour or two after haha

shes the type if i have the convo she will start some crazy story how i disrespected her n then i have to hear it. so i told my dad how i felt n i hope he expresses it to her. yeah i dont plan on having people come tell 3/4 hours after she is born bc i want to bond/feed/n the nurses do her first bath at 2 hours old n dont want to have others there for it. lol selfish maybe but idc. @areneeb

I feel like your step mom is still grieving....I wonder if that's why every baby in the family she wants to be born on that day or named after her. have you ever thought of like on etsy they have these little trinket type things that you could give her in memory of her daughter.

everyone goes out of their way on the 27th of jan every year to help her with the grieving and she has gotten so many gifts but she just isnt grateful for any of it. @courtney_boyea
