mommies with kids when did you allow a family member to take your baby to stay the night with them?…

My sons 7 months still hasn't spent the night away from me. And won't until he doesn't wake up to eat and isn't nursing

2 weeks .... girl if u need rest and someone u trust is willing to take the baby let them

I let my mom take my son when he was 2 weeks but we lived in the same apartment complex

do u give him breast milk out the bottle or straight frm the boob ?

@babygirl10-11, he does both he eats from a bottle and my boob and his Dr has me supplementing him on formula cause he was so small at birth and SIL has a 13 yr old and a 5 yr old so she knows what she is doing lol. @ryans_mommy14 I wish she lived next door to me but he'll be going 20 mins away I just feel.if I don't get any sleep soon I won't hear him at all one night and that's my biggest fear at this point

Id like to add that it's my choice to not have him stay with anyone else if he's waking to nurse. Because I know a bottle won't cut it for my son. He likes the boobs and I just don't want to burden anyone and I think if probably get less sleep if he was gone cause of just worry about him the whole time. But that's just me. If you're comfortable with someone else watching your baby then do it and get some sleep.

If its someone you trust then I think its fine. You need to get some rest.

maybe just start out with a few hrs during the day to see how he does and then go for a all nighter ... my babies were bottled fed so idk how a baby would act without their boobs lol

@californiahaley, that's the thing he had to be taught how to suck he is just now getting on my boob so he does both boob and bottle and I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep cause I won't have my baby I may not allow her to keep him all night just a few hours then go get him. I have him tonight and just thinking about not having him tomorrow I feel.like a huge part is gonna be missing. @junebaby I need some sleep ive barely had any the past two weeks so I'm debating on letting him stay all night.or just until the evening and then going to get him

yeah, maybe start out for a few hours before an all nighter cause I bet you'll get less sleep worrying. you need someone to watch him at your home while you nap.

I would say take a few hours. Feed him. Send him to the babysitter it whoever is watching him and get him at the next feed. And take a nice nap while he's gone. Also nap when he naps. For the first 2 months all me And tan did was nap all day and night. When he slept so did I. Even just chillin in bed while he napped was great.

my mom came and stayed the night when she was about a week old to take care of brooklynn see if someone will come over and help it's hard to transition from sleeping a ton in your 3rd trimester to not sleeping at all

@brooklynnbby, yeah I didn't hit the sleep a lot part in my third trimester he came a month early but I'm not allowing him to go overnight just a few hours then I'm going to get him

I've done that also just have my mom take her for a couple hours just to get a break and get things done
