That's just strange to me. I know in some countries they do it longer because it's usually a means to survive. I just don't see breastfeeding a school aged child though. They can eat and drink just fine.

I have actually witnessed a child who was probably 3-4 walk over to his mom, pull her shirt down and latch right on while standing up.

I just sat there with my eyes all huge and my mouth wide open. I was very young and with my mother so I didn't say anything. I had never saw a woman breastfeed before so it was a big shock. I just remember thinking that's not right. LOL

I saw it. There is a lot of research that says breastfeeding past one really helps but once the child can understand Its time to exclusively pump. Breastfeeding past one is a personal choice but this may be a bit much more for the mom than anything.

I can barely make it past a couple months breastfeeding lol. but if I were to do it past one, idk probably pump and store them in the freezer and then put the breastmilk in the sippy cup once they want some. I don't think they'd know the difference as long as they haven't had actual milk yet lol
