Felt like I needed to share my labor story;

I went into the hospital Thursday July 17 with consistent contractions but they wasn't changing my cervix like the doctor wanted they sent me home even though they said they could feel my child's HEAD. I went to my cousins wedding on Friday still having contractions, went on a movie date w/ my fiancé and was having contractions throughout the whole entire movie (my mother in law said I was rolling around in bed all night grunting so she knew I was having contractions) I woke up Sunday to contractions every 3 minutes, I called my mom crying in pain she actually didn't believe I was in labor until I got up to her house and she timed them. I went to the hospital around 6pm and was admitted. They hooked me up to the monitors and I was for sure in labor, they wanted me to walk to help the contractions, I got in the jacuzzi, they checked me I was 100% thinned out but was only 3cm dilated. Around 7am Monday morning the doctor came in and broke my water, that's when the real pain hit me, I was crying, screaming, and having a pain attack. I ended up having to be put on oxygen. I got my epidural then my heart rate dropped dramatically so they wouldn't let me sleep. The first nurse came in,checked me then just turned and walked out to get another nurse, she checked me and they finally told me they couldn't cervix at all. They wen to get my doctor, she came in and told me I was ready to push..... BUT I told her no my boyfriend wasn't there yet but Bentlee had other plans, I started pushing and there was a knock on the door... Everyone turned and looked, turns out It was my boyfriend and his mom so they got to come in on my LAST push! Bentlee finally decided when his daddy got there he wanted to be born. He came into this world screaming at 10:52 weighing 6lbs 9oz & was 19 inches long, then everything turned for the worse Bentlee wasn't breathing right and had to be rushed out of the room to be out under the oxygen hood. At 6pm Monday evening my newborn baby was sent to UK children's hospital to the NICU, he had pneumonia, and infection in his blood. He stayed in UK for a week then finally got to come home. 😊
