yeah. that's usually how it works. but sometimes people will stick with the list and buy extra. you could always ask that they stick to the list.

@firstbaby_girl, yeah that's a good idea. I'm just getting stressed because I don't even know what I need to put on the registry. haha I'm clueless.

I had about 2 people ask about a registry and get things off it. Nothing big. And no one else got anything off it. DONT expect people to get you big things. People get diapers and cute outfits they don't get stroller and cribs and stuff like that. Parents or aunts an uncles might get something but dot count on it. I got all my big things. Except my mother in law got the bedding set (which was $80 instead of $300 like most) my brother got a swing, and a friend of my mother in law got a chair. Everyone else got diapers and wipes and a couple small toys. I found that people with kids got better more useful gifts then those without kids.

@californiahaley, thank you so much for the advice. that's exactly how I feel like people would be. My husband said just don't do one and we will buy whatever people didn't get us. Thankfully he is being wonderful on the situation. Thank you for your input. :)

I would honesty suggest to start getting the biggest stuff now. Most people don't have their shower till 3rd trimester then you only have 3 months to get EVERYTHING. it'll stress you out.

i think u should do it because i was thinking the same thing but almost everything i got at my shower came off my registry. and before that everyone kept calling and asking what i needed and if i had anymore registry other than babies r us but i didnt. But its up to you ☺

I agree with all the ladies what they said....and as for me I thought the same hun....I'm already getting the big stuff now....I have most of things already(except for small stuff) and I won't do registry cause I just know people won't go by it so let them buy whatevz hopefully they get as least gift reciepts (maybe can ask for that at least) and then whatever they don't get me I'll get but i won't be stressing out and stuff at last min. And the big things is yeah usually family gets so like my stroller and car seat set my cousins gonna buy....
