my mil wants me to choose who she choose her son to have as a pediatrician 20 years ago. it's still my husbands doctor. I told her I wouldn't be using him I'm going to do my own research and find my own doctor for the baby. my husband went to the Dr today for his toe. she goes behind my back and tells my husband did u tell the doctor he'll be taking care of your son here soon. I'm pissed. I told her I won't be using him. I'm not gonna have a 90 yr old doctor.

haha I don't mean to laugh but your last part about a 90yr old doctor cracks me up. I have my daughter going to my old pediatrician but she isn't old probably in her 50s. I only did it because I knew how well she is with kids and having her as my daughters doctor I trust her opinion and we are able to talk about more things and I feel very comfortable asking her questions. that's probably why your mil is like that but she also needs to know that it's your child as well and you make these decisions not her. she did her parenting stuff already

it's just irritating bc she's already trying to start her controlling before the baby even gets here

I have/had the same issue with my MIL. problem is she didn't even raise her son. her parents did. Now she is trying to be grandma I of the year. Our daughter isn't even here yet, and she telling me how to raise her, dress her, all kinds of things. it's annoying.

@alicia3_18, yeah, feel lucky that it's just over a dr lol. it can get much worse. might want to try and nip it in the butt while you can before she gets here.
