he can't make you do anything you don't want to. point blank those are your breast not his.

I mean in a relationship you have to consider their side as well, you're both in it. But its also your body, I'm weirded out by breastfeeding just bc I've never had anybody but my bf be around them in such a way. If you don't want to have your baby latch on to you, I'd just pump that way he is getting the benefits of your milk.

He can't make you do anything your uncomfortable with. If you are like me and feel like you want to try to make him happy, or meet in the middle. You could always give it a try. Or just go to a breast feeding class? Otherwise if this is something you feel strongly about... Just make the right choice for you and your baby! I am definitely breast feeding but I also understand that other women aren't comfortable or just don't want to! The choice is you! Just make sure you make an educated choice :) and talk to him about what's going on too... Their your boobs!!

I would take what he is saying into consideration because it is his child too, and it is healthier, but like @meplusmytwo said depending what you are uncomfortable about, you can pump into bags and freeze them to save them for up to 5 months if you freeze them and you will still give your baby all the healthier way and not feel as awkward, if you do that just make sure you pump about every two hours

what about it makes you feel uncomfortable? its his child as well as yours. id consider what hes saying. formula is way too expensive & wic only covers half of what you really need to feed baby.

Thank you everyone. I think I want to pump just not much into the whole latching on thing... No one in my family breast fed. No worries Hun!!! If you are willing to pump I definitely suggest it because of the benefits of breast milk that are being found!! Don't let anyone tell you your a bad mom because you don't want a baby on your boob! Some people just aren't as open about that, and there isn't anything wrong with that! If you take a class (which I loved) you can learn a lot about what real milk does (health wise)

yea its your body.. so take what he says into consideration but it's really your decision.. your tits getting sucked on.. not his... but you could try the pumping thing but I hear it's just so time consuming. you have to have a lot of time on your hands... I'm not breastfeeding nor pumping.... I was bottle fed && I turned out fine... plus some mommies can't produce enough milk or babies won't latch.. some women boobs are too tender when they give birth -& some get an infection from the milk -& can't breastfeed && those babies are fine.. so do what makes you feel comfy..good luck mommy ☺

If you need someone to talk to about it let me know I have been breastfeeding my daughter since she was born and she is just over two months, once you get pay the initial month of breastfeeding its a charm, first is painful but well worth it in my opinion! I also go to a support group for breastfeeding mommies and I love that too, and if you decide to breast feed make sure you see a lactation consultant, they are a life saver, they will help you make sure the latch is correct and teach you what you need to know and answer any questions. All they do is teaching mommies how to breastfeed!

Mine was a free community centre based class. Just two hours! Your doctor might be able to recommend or look it up online see what's available?

breastfeed is the best you can do .It's a good source of vitamins for your baby .But is your decision no body can tell you what to do ..

I plan on breastfeeding because it is so healthy for the baby. The best nutrition then can get. and also its free!!!
