men are gonna feel that way. they all do. just like when u get married. alot dnt want u to keep ur last name.

I am not trying to cause problems at all by saying this but my husband hates that his parents gave him both their last names because they aren't married. He wants to get a name change and just goes by his fathers last name. Even his mother thinks its stupid that she did that. It makes it super inconvient when he calls into places and has to list his last names because they can't find anything under one name. Just thought you might want to know from someone who has two last names standpoint. :) sorry if I said to much.

no your fine @rachel.potts I don't have a problem changing it later in life if that's what my child wants. my cousin just went threw the same thing he changed it. I just don't feel comfortable with it right now. I think I'm going to put his last name first so she'll mainly go by that. but that bothers me because my last name starts with a d and his starts with a w.

@steph11, you are so much like me. I get frustrated with things like that too. but I would go with whatever one you would want her to go by. Good luck on the convo that's gotta be an awkward one. I hated telling my husband I didn't want his mother in the room. He is an only child and it upset him pretty bad so good luck. :)

haha we already had that one she wanted to go with me to my ultrasound and now I'm glad she didn't after that not so happy experience. so he's good with listening to me on the mom situation. @rachel.potts
