To moms that already had their baby;
Do you ever get annoyed with family, because they are immediately up your a$$ about seeing the baby, visiting, and babysitting, etc etc.? I've only been home ONE day, and my in-laws are automatically putting their foot in the door. I love them all, and want them to have time with baby girl, but I haven't even had time to bond with her yet 😞 My family is excited too, but at least they know to back off for a week or two. If I say something to Hubby he gets all defensive, I've tried explaining it....but he's daddy, its not the same. I just want a week or two to enjoy bonding with my FIRST baby 😚 But they make me feel like a bad guy for wanting to keep them away for two weeks 😭 My mom totally gets it, she has backed off, I just wish in-laws would be more understanding. its not like I haven't kept them involved, they've been involved completely! Ugh, end rant 😖

I agree this gets tricky... this is my 1st && I was telling my husband I don't even want anyone at the hospital besides my mom && his... my family lives in another state but I told him I don't want any visitors. of course he is against it. but I'm hoping since this isn't his 1st child everyone not gonna wanna come. plus we live on the other side of town lol

Мама дочки (3 года), беременна (37 нед.)
with my first I gave everyone a time they could come see her. I know we are the ones that carried the babies and all but I had to think like this MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT WAS CALLIN WENT THRU THESE 9 MONTHS WITH ME SO IF I GO AHEAD AND GET THEM OUT THE WAY THEN BABY IS ALL MINE

I feel like this is going to be my biggest issue after I have my baby. my situation is kinda opposite though because my in laws are understanding and want to respect my wishes, but my mom is controlling. wants to be IN the DELIVERY ROOM. hellll no. I didn't even feel comfortable asking her to buy me tampons growing up. her being in the room would make me awkward and birth a horrible experience. I just don't know how to tell her no. she calls me selfish and all of this whenever the subject comes up. sorry to make this so long but I have been going through this lately. lol

When I told mom in-law she got super upset, which made me feel bad. Even though she was actually THERE, she has gotten to hold her. Its just like.....damn dude!

@iisavana, it is hard to deal with in laws.. i had my bby at home.. nd was at the hospital.. asap.. nd i couldve sworn his parents nd grandparents beat us the hospital! LOL.. my mother in law had a struggle with me because i felt the same way i want and need my one on one.. your the mother.. regardless of what your man thinks is he going to be the one waking up in the middle of the night with the baby 90 percent of the time.. the thing that's funny is that you will start to need help from them but they should be considerate nd understand what its like to establish that bond with ur newborn.. maybe tell her that when u nd daddy need time for rest you have no problem dropping your little love there whenever tht way they can have bonding nd u guys can rest. . took a while for my in laws to understand but this time around much less stressful.. hope it all works out for you ^_^
