@babygirl10-11, I live an hour away from the hospital so I would have to leave as soon as I start feeling pain because of the long drive. my blood pressure has been so high I'm going to be induced next week.

if you labor at home dont wait till the last minute to go in like me it was a disaster fa real like if I would of waited a few more mins to leave she would of been born on the freeway lol

I honestly dont know ... most of labor at home I was just moving around I did some shopping and cleaning but I didnt even think I was in labor cuz it wasn't painful my last 2 kids contractions were unbelievable so this time when they felt like period cramps I was just thinking I was in thw early stages

@babygirl10-11, is it anything I can do at home to help my body dilate?

my early stages of labor were easy it just felt like period cramps that stage was all day till about 10 pm thats when my contractions got stronger by 11 pm I was screaming when they came but I thought I was good cuz they were 6 mins apart at 12 30 my water broke thats when I went to the hospital got there at 1245 delivered at 125

yes it was horrible but I labored at home for most of that it was all day but I say 2 or 3 cuz I count when the contractions got painful it went so fast ... I was only at the hospital about 20 mins b4 I delivered ....the epidural can slow labor dwn they normally give pitocen with it to keep it going .. doctor said I went so fast cuz it was my 3rd baby

@babygirl10-11, 2 or 3 hours sounds great but I bet those hours were painful. I heard the epidural slow down labor. @lulukiddy , I wanted to try natural buy I don't handle pain well.

I was 1cm, and my labor was almost 22 1/2 hours. Labor is painful as a whole, but I didnt have to get an epidural.

this last baby I did completely natural now that shit hurt worse then my last 2 never again but that labor only lasted about 2 to 3 hrs

I dont think so i wasn't induced with my 1st and labor was 18 hr and 29 mins of pushing and the labor hurt just as much as when I got induced

@babygirl10-11, my doctor said I'm 50% effaced and cervix soft. I hope my labor goes as planned. is pitocin as painful as people say?

I got induced with my 2nd and I wasn't dilated none or effaced took about 17 hrs and only pushed for 6 min

@brooklynnbby, thanks I'm going to ask my doctor to do it at my appointment Tuesday. I'm getting so nervous about labor I can't sleep.

a membrane sweep doesn't hurt I didn't even know she did one haha @browersbaby

@californiahaley, I was thinking about going natural but since I'm going to be induced I plan on getting whatever drug is available. @alicia91 I'm going to ask my doctor to do a membrane sweep. do that hurt?
