I'm so depressed, all my days consist of is me sitting in this apartment all by myself. I've been on bed rest for a month & since I moved to my boyfriends home town (over 2 hours away from mine) I have no friends. I can't go to work anymore due to the best rest & he doesn't get why I'm crying, emotional, & depressed. He sleeps all day until he has to go to work then I barely get to talk to him while he's at work then he comes home & spends enough time with me to watch a movie & then rushes me off to bed so he can play his video games. It hurts my feelings because I've expressed to him how I've felt & all he can tell me is I'm being "emotional again" what does he expect from a woman who is always lonely & 9 months pregnant? for me to feel like I'm on top of the world & over flowing with happiness of always being alone..
I'm just tired of it..on top of that he never helps me clean, do laundry, cook, or anything that requires actual work outside of his job but yet complains when things aren't done & the house is a mess. I can't even bend over to pick up the clothes that he leaves all over the floor so I'm forced to crawl on my hands and knees to grab the clothes so I can wash them. I've told him to help me & he doesn't. I'm at my wits end. I feel like I'm gonna lose my mind & I have the worst feeling I'm gonna be raising our son all on my own & him just there to financially support us. which is great but our child will need a father who will put him first before video games because he can't even do that for me when I'm 9 months pregnant.
sorry for the rant. I'm just so alone, can't sleep & can't stop crying.

I actually feel sorry I am reading this :( you sound like you need a friend. first things first you've gotta shake these thoughts. theyll just push you farther into your depression. I know how you feel because i am in a similar boat as you, but not going through the exact same thing as you are. Life gets very hard. especially on bed rest it feels like you are absolutely powerless. you cant do anything all day long. The fact that you have no one where you live but him & your son who is almost here lets me know you've probably been as lonely as I have before. I am in California & my family is in Illinois. I literally have no one to talk to all day besides my daughters or calling my mom all the way from here. my husband works 12 to 18 hour days (own our own business) & when hes home he can only be awake for an hour before heading off to bed. its something I have to learn to deal with because the amount of money he makes is more than triple what we'd make together if I was working. therefore I am a stay at home mom. I am also due January 15th so its getting harder to keep things clean with 2 daughters & serious OCD when it comes to cleaning. which makes it harder on me. I wish they had private message. if you wanna talk you can always text me too. but ill tell you this, it gets easier once baby is here youll be more mobile & you can do all this fun wife/ mother duties.

Ok first it's okay to cry! And second your feelings are adequate and that is why it hurts! But the most important thing that I'm going to tell you this morning is that you still have a chance! One because you are in control and somewhere along the line throughout your emotions in your pregnancy you forgot that! So now it's time to pick up where you forgot and remember! He's only going to do what you allow him to do and you're crying and emotional nagging is not going to change the behavior babygirl!! You need to say with a strong heart and tone that you are no longer putting up with the nonsense and he better help or the cleaning etc ain't gonna to get done! Why should you crawl across the floor to clean up that makes absolutely no sense. If it were up to me and he wasn't helping it wouldn't happen. So you need to express to him that you have way too much going on with your body and you're not going to force yourself to be miserable any longer! He needs to step up and you are going to have to make him. The most important thing is to understand it ain't going to happen with you crying and being miserable all day long!!! And the second most important thing I'm going to tell you this morning is if you're crying in expressing yourself to him and he just tells you your emotional then cut it out! If you have to cry every moment he's not around (dont that either) don't let him see you cry! Because he's taking it for granted and he's using it against you. I'm not implying in any way that he doesn't love you crazy! I am saying the world is a backwards place and for some reason when you show someone your emotions they tend to either A cater to you or B ignore the deepth of ur emotions. That usually happens when they're used to seeing you cry! So without stressing yourself keep your emotions to yourself as best as you can and put your foot down though so you can have a better you and future with your baby and ur man! Men only do what u allow them to do... I promise I know what I'm talking about! You gotta trust me !!! Praying for you throughout the day and sending squeezes and smooches your way boo! 😘😘😘

@mrs.aceves, Thank you for those words, I appreciate how hard my boyfriend works but he doesn't understand that, that's all that needs to be done. I've never felt so alone in my life & he expects me to just bond with his family when they really don't make the same effort unless I'm over there and I'm always too embarrassed to invite them over to my place because I never feel like it's clean enough & don't want them to think less of me for not keeping up with the chores. My mom passed away at the beginning of October, she was my rock & I always called her whenever I was upset & she could always make me feel better but now that she's gone I feel like my only friend in the world has left me.
@babyboolala I hardly ever show my emotions to him, I almost never cry in front of him. I usually try to hold back my tears so he doesn't see them because that's what my mom taught me from a very young age. he considers "being emotional" is talking about my feelings in general. he just expects me to stay home, clean, cook his dinner, wash his clothes & never complain about him always wanting to play video games. I've put my foot down but he sees it as a joke. that's how men from Tennessee are. they are the ones in charge & the women do all the womanly duties without a complaint.

If you're going to accept your life for "that's how men in Tennessee are" you going to have to live with it honey! Because at the end of it all it is your life and it is what you make it and keep in mind you only get one! Still praying because I know it works!!! Best wishes to you and little man boo! 😘

I definitely agree with you about the in laws part. I try my best to get close with them but they just seem to judge alot. its hard but youll find that sooner or later hes gonna have to shape up or ship out. lol seriously feel the same about the womanly duties as you. my husband felt like its the womans job to do everything around the house BUT I snapped his ass out of that reaaaaaal quick! youve gotta put your foot down. you have to! it doesnt matter if he sees it as a joke you are his woman & he will change his lazy ways if he loves you. you can get him to do things around the house. literally without nagging say " I am tired! you better help me clean up this house or its not going to get done!!" or say "hey can you not throw your clothes on the floor. make it a little easier on me & pick your shit up!" be stern without being demanding. hell get it fast that you arent playing around. men like to think we can do it all on our own, trust me we definitely can if we have to but its nicer for them to help. my husband literally needs me to lay his clothes out for him before bed all the way down to his boxers & socks. I get up at 3:30 am every morning to make his lunch for work even though I have the 2 kids to worry about & dont end up getting to sleep around 12 am or 1 just to get woken up at 3 to make his lunch. you will get used to it. but hes gotta start helping you out because him just working isnt going to fly

@babyboolala, gives really good advice girlfriend. definitely try taking in what shes saying. it helps when someone that has a lot more experience with this stuff than we do helps us out & gives us some good pointers. I sure as hell didnt know what I was doing at first but lots of advice from experienced women helped me to figure things out along the way :)

im a first time mommy so I dont have alot of experience but what @mrs.aceves said is so true. im in the situation with feeling lonely. I recently had to stop working meaning my fiance has to do a little more work. So im constantly home. He thinks since im home allday the house should be clean. Laundry done. and food cooked when he comes home. Some men just dont understand pregnancy. When I say my daily prayers I will pray for your strength just as I do for myself. @iloveyou

@iloveyou, I'm so sorry that you have to go through this, this is my second bout if bed jail this pregnancy, the first time was 12-22wks and now I've been in bed rest since 26 or 27 I just stopped counting. It's very emotional to be on bed rest or in bed jail, I'm on suppose to get up to pee, I've cried, sat in the dark many days and nights and just flat out felt like I was a step away from commuting murder suicide. You have to find some way of channeling that negative energy, yes it's hard trust me I know, but even on bed rest stress can cause preterm labor, been in the hospital twice for it. As far as your BF, I can't tell you what to do, but I will tell you this, DONT BE GETTING DOWN ON NO FLOOR ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES TO PICK UP NOTHING WHILE ON BEDREST! I don't care if it was a mountain of dishes or 6000 pairs of dirty drawers every where, leave it, as long as you got a pathway to pee, screw it. As far as cooking stop cooking for him fix you something and that's it. When he commences to ask why, you answer with "my doctor said I'm on BED REST. He loves you and baby and he will get over it, on the bright side your almost done baking, just as well as I am and pregnancy is only temporary, so in just a few short days after 37 we will be good to go and then can really just beat the heck out of people. If you need me I'm just a post away, oh I do sleep at night now thought cause they gave me sleeping pills but just Tag me I always respond😘😘😘😘😘

Hun he is being rude and disrespectful. It's okay to cry! And it's okay to be upset about what is going on your life. And as your boyfriend, hard working or not, it's part of his job description to listen when you him to... And hold you when you cry. I completely get the living in another town and feeling alone... I don't have friends... I don't go out and his family is rude and manipulative. Allow yourself to really feel your emotions. Also if you are on bed rest he shouldn't be letting you do what you are doing!!! They wouldn't put on you on bed rest for no good reason! Your body needs rest. Maybe talk to your friends or your family and see about going to stay with them for a while. Your boyfriend is being disrespectful and dismissive just telling you that your being "too emotional". YOURE ALLOWED TO FEEL EMOTIONS! Pregnant or not.. Your emotions are real and they should be something important to your boyfriend. If I were you I would tell him that until he's ready to listen to you, help you, and respect you and your feelings that you will be somewhere else. You deserve better girl. And I hope he realizes what a catch he's got before it's too late. If you ever need someone to talk to... I'm here! You don't have to settle for what he's giving you. 😘 good luck and merry Christmas! Just tag me if you need a friend or I have kik messenger if you have that :)

I'm sorry. He needs to know that if he doesn't straighten up, he's gonna miss out or you as a mom and human being don't deserve that or will let that happen. I know it's mean, but scaring them can move mountains.
