it was the worst experience of my life. super painful. went into labor naturally with my second and it was so much better.

I was induced 2 days ago They started me off with the pill they put in your cervix for 12 hours to soften my cervix. then after 12 hours..they started me on pitocin. my water broke on its own about teo hours later. the pain for me was the most excruciating pain i have EVER felt. I HIGHLY recommend an epidural. after the epidural i was happy and ot even an hour later, i was pushing: )

Can't go naturally, I am type 1 diabetic, induction or C section are my only options, and I want a vaginal birth if I can help it. Also I have the #1 OB in my county, he's highly recommended by tons of hospitals. As for the pain, I'm not worried, I expect to be in critical pain, and I HAVE to get the epidural, to control the pain, and the way it effects my blood sugars. I'm just curious about the process.

I got induced. they started me off with cervidil which is a tampon looking thing they put in your vag. it has to be in there for 12 hrs. after that I was 1 to 2 cm dilated and 75 % effaced. I decided to wait until the morning to start the pitocin. at 6 am they put the pill in my vag for 4 hrs. after that I was 3 to 4 cm dilated and like 90 % effaced so they started the pitocin. they let me get the epidural like an hour afterwards I was still a 4. I didn't feel any contractions at all. they epidural was amazing. I had my baby girl at 3:50 pm. they broke my water when I was at a 5. induction is a long process but it was definitely worth it for me. my baby was born 8 pounds 4 Oz. if I would've waited another week she would've weighed almost 9 pounds O.o good luck with your induction. you will have your baby soon :)
