Did I mention this was allowed to be charted without question even after it was in my chart from 3 other visits this weekend where- over all- 2 attending physicians, 2 nurses and 3 other residents had me charted as a centimeter more dilated and 10% more effaced? Even though you can't go backwards (and they tell you this)? No one thought that should be double checked. UGH.

They did me like that the first time and then 3 days later I was in the hospital for preterm labor

I'm going crazy @mrssabby , no lie. I seriously don't want to go back. After this weekend, I basically got told that I had no way of telling at all if my labor goes from early to active unless my water breaks. Off that warning sheet they give, I'm basically down to "come in for bleeding, broken water, or severe abdominal pain"

smh I can't stand when they bring the new residents in and they dont know what they talking about smh.... I tell them straight up, I don't feel secure with u at all, get me a resident with more seniority than u, don't be sticking me in the hands of a newbie!

@bree31, unfortunately it was that moron, a student, an even newer resident, and then the attending who never stepped foot in my room.

smh I would have told them off, asking for a second opinion. smh braxton hicks just feel like mild cramps but if the pain you're feeling was tipping the scale that high then that couldn't have been braxton hicks.

@bree31, it was tempting, but I was too tired and am in too much pain to keep dealing with him. I was like "forget it. I can labor more comfortably at home if I'm still not progressing past my 4."

@wrens_mommy, yeah I went in for nausea and vomiting with severe back pain and lots of pressure, I called my doc he said go in I was in preterm labor, well the resident said nausea and vomiting is no sign. So they hooked me up did a FNN, and guess what I was contracting every two minutes and my FNN came back positive for preterm labor, and I was in there 4 days us I was super dehydrated lol

@wrens_mommy, these lil residents pay too much money to go to school and not know nothing lol

so with the dilation one of the nurses told me that it can feel different for everybody because everyone's hands a little bigger or smaller if that even makes sense

I consistently had 4 cm with more than 5 people, @brooklynnbby if it weren't for that, I'd be less irate. it seems pretty definite at that point.

@mrssabby I kind of agree. i mean, I know it takes experience, but when numbers jump backwards like that after multiple confirmations in recent days it seems to me that having your attending double check would be wise. but that's just me.
