So I did my baby shower registry today and feel like I went a little overboard I don't except…

Idk if I'm going to be able to have a baby shower for this one, but for my first, I had, I think, over 100 items on one registery.

okay so I didn't go too overboard! I just feel like ppl will think. I'm asking for too much. like.I.only put 2 big items on it this is my first baby so I'm still new at like EVERYTHING lol @laura_love

I have over 100 items because I know I have 50 people coming to my shower so I wanted options. Plus you get stuff on your registry for a discount after the shower as well.

This is my first baby so I really need.. Well.. Everything. So I asked for.. Everything. I have invited over 70 ppl to my shower and have over 100 items on my registry. Ppl love buying for babies so they will buy off your registry. Don't sweat it!! This is what baby showers are for and the people who are going to your shower are aware of that. If they don't want to buy you anything they probably won't come!

@alivewithyou, what do u mean exactly u get things on your registry for a discount after the shower? I put repeat items so I got more than one of the item so that's kinda why I guess it ended up being 70 items and its all stuff I need only a few items I wanted . Do u think it was inappropriate for me to but nipple cream nipple pads and breast milk storage bags on there? @laura_love @delilahsmommy2015 I'm excepting a smallish shower but I'm not sure it's gonna be some of my family and friends plus my husbands family so I'm hoping for a medium shower but I got clothes out the butt so its just mainly the items I need my husband scanned stuff he like.to so idk what he put on there lol

Okay yeah that makes sense @regelbaby my husband make me second guess it. But as we were doing it his was like my family will get it for us if u want it scan it lol!

I had about 250 things in my registry and I registered at 3 different stores, I got lots of stuff and because we are gender unknown a lot of people waited to buy, but I have received so many gifts on bed rest, but just remember people still buy after baby is born

Woah that's a lot of items lol!! That's awesome that your getting stuff you need cause I now bed jail has to suck!! I'd go nuts if I was on bed rest girl.idk how u do.it! Yeah I'm stressing cause I don't have much for the baby essitenal wise (I think.I spelled that wrong) and idk how many ppl will show.for.my baby shower my family wise so its like I'm in suspense until Jan 17th lol @mrssabby and I'm one of those ppl.that over stress over everything lol.

@wyattsmommy91, yeah I was stressing cause I didn't think we get a lot of big stuff but we got everything except the travel system, and we got tons of soap and lotion packages not gonna have to buy no baby soap etc for two yrs. bed jail is hard cause I'm 33wks now and I wanna do stuff, but we are moving and so my husband is off and he's movng the stuff tomorrow and said we will do all the baby stuff wed and Thursday he gets the fun I just watch ☺️☺️☺️but good thing is if my appts go well friday and next Friday I can get off bed rest, so I'm just patiently waiting, cause honey I'm a worryaholic too and I just knew this baby was coming but it's behaving now so far so I'm content 😉

My showers the 18th of jan! Lol @wyattsmommy91. I just checked my registry I have 90 items I thought I had more but I guess I've taken some off. But ya I put essentials on there. No clothes bc I have lots already and I figure ppl will buy clothes they see that they think are too cute not to buy! I put breast pads, nipple cream and even a breast pump on mine lol all the not to cute stuff went on there. I've invited some pretty logical ppl haha so I figure someone's bound to buy the boring stuff that I need.

well I'll be praying for your appointment to go great so they can release you from bed jail!! Yeah I'm worried about the big items which I.only put a bassinet and a pack n play on there and my SIL said she'd buy the crib for the baby but I feel awkward about having her do that she has done so much already!! Yeah I forgot to scan soaps and lotions and powder while there had to go.online and add them lol!!! @mrssabby

Lol yeah I was like well the nipple cream and nipple.pads and storage bags are still.for.baby so someone is bound to buy it if not I will.no biggie. Yeah I figured the same about the clothes too but like I'm hopping I get the bottles I want for when.I.pump and the hubby feeds baby and the pacifiers cause I want a certain brand so he don't have nipple confusion! Other than that I'm not worried about them getting the exact item but something similar to what was scanned you know..? @regelbaby I didn't put a breast pump hoping to get that through my insurance so that saves me or.some nice family member 150$-200$ lol 😃

I didn't know how many people were going to be at mine so I guess that's why I had so many items. My church put it together for me so it was a "everyone's invited" type deal. I put multiples of stuff on my registery too

That was nice of them! @laura_love yeah my husband was scanning stuff that I said and he put like 8 packs of nb diapers lol cause he said the quick.pick.menu wouldn't let him.do.size 1s I was like hopefully we don't get that many nb diapers and someone buy some packs of size 1s lol!! but I can always exchange the extra ones so.I'm not sweating that too bad 😃😃

Ya im hoping I get some exact items on my registry. Not to sound greedy but I took time choosing between like items you know and then decided on which ones i thought would be best for me and my baby.

yeah I did too like the crib set and dipar bag and the boppy lol I took time looking through all the ones and carefully picking so I hope I get those ones i picked out and the head support I deff want the one I picked out lol but I researched the bottles and paicifers for.months so.I deff want the those to be the brand I want @regelbaby

Which bottles did you go with and why? If you don't mind me asking. I went with tommy tippee, only bc that's what the girl working at babies r us recommended.

Would've been nicer if like 95% of them weren't 30 or more years older than me. Don't get me wrong, I'm greatful that they threw me one(seeing as I wasn't married), but it just would've been nice if there were more women from the church that were my age or around my age that came.

@wyattsmommy91, thanks honey if they offer to buy let them lol especially if they offer ☺️and then you just wait to buy after the shower that way you can use gift cards and cash you get from the shower and it's not coming out of ur pocket

I went with the tommy tippee too cause I read online that they can control the flow of milk like if they were on the breast and the nipple is like.a breast nipple and it they won't get confused from.the breast to the bottle. @regelbaby

That's right it won't happen often lol and i too have a lot of older women like my moms friends, aunts, neighbours, friends moms coming! I'm so happy to hear that about tommy tippee. Thanks for doing your research! Lol

I don't mind the older women that have more experience and they usually surplge on baby's so I'm not complaining lol. No problem lol its always good to be informed and I'm always happy to share what I've learned with others!! @regelbaby

Yeah I know what you mean its nice to have someone to talk to that's around your age instead of a few decades older it gives you the feeling that just cause you are becoming a mom u can still connect with ppl.your own age @laura_love

Me neither I lost all my friends when I got pregnant! my SIL was like give me a list of ur friends to invite to the baby shower I realized I only have like 2 friends and the other 8 ppl.from.my side was family I invited lol. But in a way no.friends no drama is how I look at it from time to time it gets lonely though @laura_love

True. I lost most of mine after high school. The one true friend I have doesn't even own a phone and hardly gets on Facebook /: so can't talk to her much. And another close friend seems to be jealous of the relationship my fiancé and I have. So all I really have is my fiancé's family, and kinda my family

Yeah my one best friend lives in other state and we barely talk anymore. so I have my 2 sisters and my finacee and his sister and that's it but I'm fine with it it used to make me mad but as long as I have a few ppl I'm happy!! @laura_love and I feel.like when my son comes I won't have much time for.much anyways so that helps me keep m head up!

Yeah, it just bugs me cause I'm usual alone. I'll text them and all, but I try to save gas for my fiancé so he can get to work and back without worrying. He sleeps during the day /:

yeah I'm all alone during the day my finacee works from 7:30am to about 6pm 6 days a week. I sometimes get to see my adopted sisters we still hang but that's like.once a month or so cause they have jobs and one has 2 kids so its hard to find time @laura_love

ooh yeah I feel so.strange without a job I got fired before I found out I was pregnant I've always had a job since I was 16. My finacee wants me to be a stay at home mom I'm.looking into working from.home so we have extra money @laura_love

I've looked into working from home also. The things I've found don't seem too legit though. I'd rather have an up and active job though
