39+1 and My cat literally hasn't left my side for since yesterday morning.. Even when I get up to go to the bathroom she insists on coming in or she sticks at the door crying and trying to open it with her paws. And she's been a lot more whining than what she normally is. Can cats sense when you're close to giving birth?

@raisingoakley, yes I think so they can sense the baby cause my cat is becoming more attention seeking and my cats anti social

Animals tend to be protective over their pregnant ones... My bfs cousins cat when we stayed with them fell in love with me and he would lay on my belly or curl up right around it and it was the sweetest thing... I'm so sad he's lost :( I didn't even really like cats so much until him... I hope skittles or skits is doing okay 😔❤️ it's cool that animals know.. They "smell it"

Animals are more sensitive to what's going on with us. My dog don't leave my side at all really he insist on sleeping with me, walking to the mailbox,and he waits by my bathroom door for me to get done. Your cat probably can sense ur baby is coming soon and wants to be by u and protect u.
