my gpa has always been above a 90 and I had planned to go to a local college. has anyone had expierence with schooling and parenting at the same time? it's going to be hard with my senior year but my mom is so supportive and is going to take care of he/she while I'm away at school. I still want to go to college but I feel so selfish going while someone else watches my kid 😢😢😢

I graduated highschool as a mother and im about to graduate college with my AA in April ;) you can do all online courses its way easier to do with a child

I got pregnant at 17 which was during my senior year. I graduated with my class on time and I graduated with a 4.3 GPA. I got accepted to all the colleges I applied to but I decided that I would just go to my community college to stay with my fiancé and son. During the first semester I was pregnant and gave birth almost at the end of the semester. It was hard but I was able to do it with the help of my mil, my mom and my fiancé. I never stopped going to school and I just finished my 5th consecutive semester of college and now expecting a baby girl. I'm 20 years old and it's hard to have a kid and go to school but I continue to get straight As and strive for success because I know that I want to succeed for my children. It's possible as long as you want it and I hope you have the strength to pull through it! Good luck with any decision you choose :).

@mrschavez, @montanamommyof2 that made me feel so much better about this, most of my friends and family are giving me negative support about going to school at the same time and my dad just wants me to get my GED but I've always been naturally good in school so I think I will be able to handle both even if its a lot of work, it will be worth it in the long run.

Yeah I've always been a good student and hard worker. Kids don't ruin your life like others want to make it seem they just make things a little more challenging but with hard work and determination anything is possible! Don't listen to the negative comments, people just want to see you fail in order to prove that they were right all along. But you just gotta prove them wrong :).

Kids dont ruin your life, they may make things you want a little more difficult but its not impossible. I have a 4.0 in college and i graduted highschool with a 3.7. It helps alot if family is willing to help you out. Like my dad watched scarlett while we were at school and hubby and i never pawned her off on anyone unless it was prom or grad night. My parents made us go to those bevause we deserved it even as teen parents. You can do it ;))
