I started having Braxton Hicks around the end of week 17/beginning of week 18. Typically you can start to feel them around 20 weeks, particularly as first time moms, and some women can feel then much earlier. Some women never feel them at all. However they're perfectly normal. Your uterus actually contracts irregularly your entire pregnancy as it expands and changes. The good thing about BH is that they're "non productive" contractions, meaning don't cause or facilitate dilation/effacement or change in station. Just relax and breathe through them as needed. When they become regular and/or stronger and longer (lasting 1 min or more) is when you should be concerned if you aren't full term. :) @scilla_4
