Honestly there isn't really much there around this time. I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks.. The baby was very little like a little peanut. But you could hear the heart beat.. Think I was more excited about that. & it usually just depends on your doctor. Will this be your first appointment or your doctor told you that they will wait until 12 weeks to do it? Some offices like mine don't do ultrasounds at every appointment.

@squizzy843, yes its my first one cuz i found out i was pregnant at the hospital one night i went in thinking i had the flu. And yea they wanna do my bloodwork the same day

My doctor waited tell I was 11 weeks n 5 days bc at that point they could for sure see baby n movements. They checked the heart beat tho n said if they never heard it that's when they would do an early ultrasound

Yea.. Some offices don't want to see you until that time or Maybe about 10 weeks. Then you have to think about their schedule too.. They have to fit you in..

My doctor had me wait until 12 weeks at first but I had some complications at first so they checked at 6 weeks, it was just a tiny bean. It's worth the wait :)

thats how my dr's office does it. one at 12 weeks to determine how far along you are, one at 20 weeks to find out the sex and the last at 32 weeks to check that everything is going good.
