Ok, finally going to tell you guys my labor story!

On December 4th, I woke up at 2am to do my normal every 2 hour pee. I go back to lay down and I started to feel like I was having "pooping pains" and kept feeling extra discharge it seemed like.. So I'm frantically looking for my phone to google what it feels like to be in early labor, woke my husband up in the process and he was in complete denial, being a tired little jerk lol.. So I was like "nah I'm not in labor... I would know!" Then the "pooping pains" kept coming and coming.. Everytime I had them I felt "discharge" (obviously my water leaking/breaking very slowly).. So I call the doctor and they said "since you're 38+1 you need to go to the hospital now" so we packed the car up and off we went (hospital i delivered at is 30 mins away).. Called my Mom who happened to be on a business trip in NYC and came back the next night. No one believed I was in labor, I didn't even believe it. Get to the hospital, mind you im peeing every 5 minutes, not even.. They checked me and said "oh you're 2cm dilated and 90% effaced" and as soon as she said that I knew I was having a baby that day.. Then they put a qtip inside me to check and not even 5 minutes later the nurse got a call on her phone thingy and they said "for Katherine Ferrera? She is amnio positive" and boom that means my water broke.. They get me out of triage and off I go to labor and delivery room and they start me on antibiotics for strep b, oxytocin because they wanted to speed things up since my water broke, and fluids to stay hydrated. My contractions started to come really harsh and quick, and peeling while having a contraction isn't fun.. I got a shot of Demerol while waiting for my epidural & it didn't do jack shit other than make me feel drunk as fuck!!! Then finally got my epidural and instant relief!!! I fell asleep, I was comfortable, happy and got over it.. I went from 7cm to 10 in less than an hour.. Next thing I know the nurse is rushing out to get the doctor and the NICU team running in and I have no idea, they throw my legs up in the stirrups and said "Kate you need to push this baby out NOW" and I said omfg what is going on? "His heart rate drops everytime you have a contraction" 3 contractions and pushes later my baby boy came flying out in ONE push! Instant relief.. Fell instantly in love with him and fell more in love with my husband because the only reason I got through that last push was because he said to me "you're doing great baby, he's almost here, you got this".. I didn't scream at all, I didn't bitch about the pain, I just pushed with all of my might and focused on giving birth safely to a beautiful little boy.. Everyone was surprised on how calm I really was.. I just wanted him out! & here he is...

3 months to the day I found out I was pregnant with him.

Daddy's birthday is on a second, Mama's is on a third, Everett's is on a fourth.

He was not only born in the same hospital as me, but the same room too... 💕

If anyone is feeling uneasy about labor and scared, feel free to talk to me... It really isn't that bad!!! Yes everyone's different but when you're in the situation all you want is that baby OUT!
