do any of you nursing mothers with a baby under 1 month of age give him/her a pacifier to suck on?

I do, it helps a lot

I just stopped nursing but my baby took a pasi she cant live without that thing lol

yeah it helps for me too, but i heard your not supposed to give a breastfed baby under 1 month a pacifier for lots of weird reasons. the only reason that really made sense is nipple confusion but my son reallh likes his pacifiers i dont wanna take it away from him especially when hes tired & fussing @melissa_182

yeah my son will calm down and fall right to sleep after getting fed then taking his pacifier. lol @babygirl10-11

they told me about that nipple confusion crap in the hospital cuz I was breastfeeding and they wouldn't give me a pasi ... but my baby takes the boob a bottle and a pasi with no problem the only reason I stopped breastfeeding was cuz i hate it

but pacifiers reduce the risk in SID !!

yeah my son too, thats why I was so lost on why were arent supposed to use them. My son loves all 3, i've had no problems so far. @babygirl10-11
