Sometimes its their policy or the insurances policy. I got my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and didnt have another until gender scan at 19 weeks. I wont have another one unless something is wrong. Its because of my insurance. They typically wont do one in between unless something is wrong also

Yea it sux! most clinics don't like to do that many ultrasounds also because of the radiation they don't want to do it unless they have to. I only got two.... one at 10 wks and one at 20 for my anatomy scan... and I get no more! 😢😢 unless the doctor thinks something is wrong with the baby

@missj_stephens, I had blue cross/shield when I was pregnant with my First daughter because my mom works there and I was still on her policy and living with her, and only got two ultrasounds the whole pregnancy! now I'm on Medicaid and with my second daughter I had at least 5 or 6 lol and with this pregnancy ice had two already... blue cross is stingy 😡

@tattooedwho, @mdomke22 if they are only going to do a doppler heart check i can get my own damn doppler. screw paying these ppl 55 dollars a visit.

you pay each visit?! I had only one copay in the beginning and the rest is paid for... that sux hell yea I'd be pissed then! Cuz that's all they do is listen with the doppler then measure my stomach and I'm on my way.

yea the copays weren't fun, I don't miss insurance one bit, have to pay for ten damn minutes and then they're like we're done..... 😖😖 @missj_stephens

With my doctor and insurance I get 3. I got one at 10 weeks another at 18 weeks for the anatomy scan and I have one more at the end of this month and that's to make sure he is head down and to give a estimate on his weight and to make sure everything is fine.

I have tricare and they are amazing but their policies are ridiculous

I have tricare but iv had about 4 or 5 already bc they seem to not be able to get his measurements right. I have to get another on the 13th I'm only 21 weeks

I wouldnt have this many bc tricare is strict but I also have problems plus the measurments but go to a stork place they are amazing!! @missj_stephens
