Anyone know how/if hypoglycemia has an effect on baby?

low blood sugar will stress baby out keep some peanutbutter crackers and orange juice around

I'm hypoglycemia and thyroid.. I hate it!! but yes peanut butter, oj, really anything. I took my glucose test 3 days ago I'm scared for the results!

@rykerpmommy, mine came back at 105. just barely over fasting levels and I had even eaten breakfast (eggs) that morning. I nearly threw up the stupid drink and then sugar crashed on the way home... it was crazy. I'm trying to keep my protein intake though with stuff like peanut butter. so thank you and @marushka22 for the advice. nice to know I'm headed on the right direction.

no problem.... if it drops real low like in the 60s or 70s mix alittle sugar in the oj thats what I do for my paitents

@wrens_mommy, I'm just scared they will say I have the diabetes you get during pregnancy. but I didn't have anything to drink nor eat I just hope it all works out bc having hypoglycemia on top of thyroid really S.u.c.k.s

@rykerpmommy, gestational diabetes usually just refers to high blood sugar from what I can tell. hypoglycemia still seems to be just that in pregnancy with nothing really special being done about it. and I'm sure it does. I can only imagine!

@marushka22, I'll keep that in mind. it sounds really helpful in a crash that drops that low
