Had my doctors appointment today and just really upset at the fact that I respect people who want to breast feed but I honestly don't. I have tried it once and it just wasn't for me. I have been telling my doctor NO for the past 2 months and she still insists! Today I told her no once again and she says "oh well at least try it and if you don't feel comfortable then let the hospital know" .. I already have a child, I already know what it's like and I DON'T WANT TO!!!! Why the hell do they want to force you to?! I just don't get it....

I really dont get it either :/ I dont want to breast feed either but you cant tell anyone that or they freak out telling you all the reasons you should its annoying. Maybe tell your doctor that you are so she'll shut up about it lol.

@alexandrajoy13 It's very annoying seriously, they want to give you this 5 hour lecture on why you should which are things you've already heard from a million other people. Ugh im sure she didn't change anything on my chart and then im gonna have to fight those damn nurses at the hospital lol

Can't hurt to give it a try again, is probably the point they are making. I wouldn't take it personally because all moms get asked the same and given the same info.

Would you be opposed to pumping and bottle feeding breast milk? I'm currently breast feeding and its hard and most of the time I end up pumping and bottle feeding it because it doesn't hurt that way, but whatever route you choose doesn't make you a bad mom, I was formula fed and turned out healthy

@timberlynne Oh yeah, my problem is that besides the pain, I don't get my milk until like the 5th or 6th day but once I did I pumped to relieve some of the pain when they get rock hard, lol. My thing is I had such a horrible experience at the hospital when I told them I was going to breastfeed, they literally did not leave me alone. On the second day, my boobs were bleeding and I was obviously exhausted, my baby was crying because he was hungry but I didn't have any milk except a few drops or colostrum and when I told the nurse to just bring me a bottle because he was hungry, she refused. She said I had to breastfeed. I told her, do you not see my child crying because he hasn't eaten, she said she wasn't allowed to give me a bottle. I was so mad, I told her she either brought me a bottle or my husband was going to go buy the formula anyway. She walked out of my room and came back 5 mins later and literally threw the package of little formula bottles on the table and said "I just better not get fired for this." Needless to say I reported her to the hospital and I don't know what happened after with her. This time I'm using a different hospital of course but I don't even want to let them know I am planning on pumping some to relieve the pain when the milk does come because I'm afraid it'll be the same scenario. I've heard that when you tell them you're breastfeeding, they won't let you try anything else and I don't want to go through that again.
