I can't find a pediatrician office that accepts Medicaid near me! :( the closest one is like 35-45 minutes away! I feel like a bad mother for not having access to other health insurance for him! :(

Your insurance company should have given you a list. Call them they will find you one.

my son doesn't have insurance yet, I cannot for the life of me get a hold of dhs...but they should have given you a list. my pediatrician gave me a list of the mihealth insurances they accept so I know what to put my son on.

@sincereholt, I called the DHS office and they said you have to call each office yourself. @aicnov14 I finally found somewhere, it's not my first choice but it's better than nothing. they are still about 25 minute away tho. :(

The most frustrating part is that the office I wanted accepted my cousins baby a year ago who is on Medicaid but they aren't accepting any more Medicaid patients right now.

That's not too bad that's about as far as I have to drive, I have a hospital a block away from me though so that brings some piece of mind, if there was an emergency.
