My toddler just kicked my twice in the stomach and it seriously scared me. I'm horrified she's going to hurt the baby…

true): I'm.not trying to tell you how to parent just advise, I'd never tell a woman how to rais there children. but she's a little over a tear and knows things that hurt hur mabey if you try to show or tell her it hurts you and her little brother or sister like things hurt her when she falls? I don't know? my youngist sister is 7 so I don't remember very well how well 1 year olds comprehend things. hahah

@mdomke22, she doesn't sleep with me. She was watching tv and didn't mean to the first time but the second time I moved her foot and she kicked me again because she thought I was playing with her. Had to make her get off the couch and told her she could hurt Mommy and Baby doing that and she just looked ate confused.

@18andpregnant, She doesn't really understand there is a baby in there. She wasn't meaning to hurt me. She was just moving the first time and when I love her foot she thought I was playing and she did it again.

I would just keep telling her everyday there is another baby & she'll start to get it. toddlers understand more than we give them credit for it may take them some time but they get it.

Even if you over exaggerate the pain that might make her understand or see about bringing her into an ultrasound or something so she understands by seeing. Even hearing the heart beat. Teach her to rub your tummy gently because baby will like it and eventually she will understand

And as a rule of thumb... You can't hurt baby unless it hurts you. Baby is protected by skin, muscle, fat, uterine wall, and amniotic fluid. Very well protected. If she kicks you and you get the wind knocked out of you... Or a bruise... That's when things get a little iffy.... But baby is well protected :)
