I had an ultrasound at 33 weeks due b to my amniotic fluid leaking. My baby was estimated at 5 pounds. I was wondering do doctors give 3rd trimester ultrasounds? If so,when should I expect another one?

@hcarter40, my doctor used his hands to determine if the baby was head down. I pray I get a another one. but if not I will see him in 5 weeks.
@browersbaby, my doctor told me they will do an ultrasound at 36 weeks to see if my son is in the head down position and see what his weight is.

@mdomke22, i went to an ultrasound school and had one for $30. you should look into that.
@browersbaby, I did but all the places I look at are over 100$ I don't have that kind of money :/ guess it's just gunna be a surprise for me!
@ndesmidt, I was leaking amniotic fluid 2 weeks ago. would that make my doctor concern to check the fluid again?
@sophia1212, this third trimester is going by so slow. I am hoping after 36 weeks things move faster
with both my kids i never got an ultrasound after 20 weeks until i went into labor ... unless your doctor is concerned about the baby i dont think you get one
they become weekly at 36wks those things become a pain in the butt lol I feel like I live in my doctor office
@mdomke22, 20 weeks is a long time. did you think about getting a 3d ultrasound?
@sophia1212, I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow so I am going to ask at my next appointment. I think my appointments are going to start to become weekly now. I'm not sure.
I'm not getting one I guess unless my doctor is concerned about baby 😕 I wish I was having another one. at my last one I was only 20w 4d ugh gotta wait til she comes out I guess!
usually insurace only pays for 2 (begging of pregnancy and around 20 weeks) unless doctor has a medical reason to do one
